If you are suffering from your ADSL Net getting disconnected in 5 - 10 minutes after connecting and then nothing works then this is the solution for you. Many people suffer from the problem. After a few minutes of their connecting to Internet, a weird Win32 Service error shows up and then you can neither disconnect Internet nor can you reconnect it. All you can do is just restart the machine and then go through this process all over again and again.

Microsoft did provide patches for the same later but by then the problem was resolved by the experts. Also those people who do not have fast Internet cannot use those patches. So is there a solution for it without downloading the patches and just tweaking some settings in Windows XP. Fortunately the answer is yes. There are just 2 changes that you need to make. They are described in detail below:

First of all comes system security. So when you start Registry Editor (method is shown below) take a backup of the Registry as this is one of the core components of your Windows Installation. Backing up registry would help you to restore the changes you will make and would save you from a lot of headache later on. To create a backup of registry, navigate to File and click on Export. This will create a backup of your registry which can be restored again.

Click on Start button in the taskbar and navigate to Run. Type "regedit" without quotes in it and press enter. Now on the left panel, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand it and navigate to SYSTEM. Then navigate to CurrentControlSet. In it expand NetBT. Navigate to Parameters. Now in the right panel locate TransportBindName. Just double click it and delete the default value which currently is Devices.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> System --> CurrentControlSet --> NetBT --> Parameters --> TransportBindName

Now navigate again to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. In it locate Softwares. Now go to Microsoft and expand it. Locate Ole in it. Now in the right panel just locate the value EnableDCOM. The default value in would be Y. Double click it and make the default value N. Now just close Registry Editor and restart the machine. Connect to Internet and voila the net now no longer gets disconnected.

You could also have changed the values of NetBIOS but generally changing the values of these two parameters would eliminate the problem for all. You would not be required to change those values.

All About WMV Files

With the increase in CPU power and the availability of high speed Internet connections, watching movies on PCs has become the norm. These videos can come in different formats, but one of the most widely recognized is WMV.

What WMV is

WMV stands for Windows Media Video, and it is the name of the video encoder that was created by software giant Microsoft. A video encoder is the file that makes it possible to watch videos on computers.

WMV is part of Microsoft's Windows Media, a series of files, formats and encoders aimed at integrating sound and video. These include the Advanced Systems Format (ASP), High Definition Photo (HDP), and Windows Media Audio (WMA), which is used for playing music files (similar to the mp3 format).

WMV uses several technologies, but mainly it serves as Microsoft's own version of the popular MPEG - 4 encoder.

History and Development

WMV was developed by Microsoft in the 1990s and made its debut in 1999. It has undergone several version upgrades and changes, and today it functions mostly to distribute video on the Internet and also in some CDs and DVDs. This codec (as video encoders are called), while popular, has also faced competition from others, notably DivX, Xvid, MPEG-4 AVC, and Real Video.

How to Play WMV Files

To play WMV files you need to have Windows Media Player version 7 or higher (there are also several other media players on the Internet that you can download that plays this format). Among the more popular alternative WMV players are WinAMP. BSPlayer and MPlayer.

Other third party applications that can view WMV files include Zoom, KMPlayer, and Power DVD. There are also some portable music players that support this file format.

There are also several programs, from full blown to shareware to freeware, that allow for the export of video into the WMV format. They include Windows Movie Maker, Sorenson Squeeze, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Microsoft Expression Encoder.

WMV Specifications and Features

All these files end in the .wmv extension. There are several components in each one, and some of them include ASF files, Sipro ACELP.net audio codes. Most versions of .wmv can also be converted to avi files.

With each new upgrade and release, Windows Media Video increases its features and capabilities. Among them is the ability to process the data with a wide range of network protocols. WMV can also be played locally, and you can also download updates and components from the Internet.

WMV files can also be scaled, and offers support for several languages. It also supports constant bit rate, variable bit rate and average bit rate, frame interpolation, interlaced video high definition video content resolutions, and non square pixels.

Another advantage of WMV files is that it is supported by a large variety of applications and systems. The Xbox 360 and Windows Mobile can run WMV files.

For users of the Macintosh, there are currently several software programs that allow viewing of WMV files, one of the most popular being Flipmac WMV, which is part of the QuickTime application.

Peter Garant is writing articles about how to Play WMV Files for a site about WMV Files.

Twitters New Lists?Feature Finally Introduces Grouping, Offers An Alternative To The SUL

Twitter has just announced a new feature that is sure to excite anyone who has been waiting for the site to offer an alternative to its Suggested User List. Appropriately called 'Lists', the new feature will allow anyone to make a list of other Twitter users and label it appropriately (for example, I could make a list called 'TC Staff'), then share that list with other members. Twitter writes that the feature is still in limited testing, but that it will eventually be rolled out to all users.By default any lists you create will be public, though you'll also be able to hide them. If you choose to leave them publicly viewable, other Twitter users will be able to hit a button to "Follow this list" so they can add everyone at once. This is a big deal ?until now the only convenient way to start mass following people on Twitter has been to use its own curated SUL.

Satellite Internet - Its Workings and Its Benefits

Satellite internet may very well be the next big thing in internet technology. While most of us live in rather urbanized towns where DSL and cable work perfectly well, satellite internet access can provide broadband connection to those who live in rural areas, as it uses neither cable systems nor telephone lines. Instead, it functions on a satellite dish, using two-way Cheap Adsl Modem communications, uploading and downloading. It's not as cheap as DSL or cable modems, but it provides reliable service.

Setting up this type of internet is relatively simple as it does not consist of much other than a two-by-three foot satellite dish, two modems (for uploading and downloading), and coaxial cables to connect the dish to the modem. The satellite dish must face the south without obstruction, as the satellites orbiting the earth are around the equator. Of course, like satellite television, rain and tall trees can have an effect on and hinder the reception of any internet signals. But with a fantastic location with clear southern skies, these problems are of the past.

Basically, it works like this. The user dials into his ISP with his modem. He clicks on a link to view a certain web page. The software from his computer attaches what is known in the technology world as the "tunneling code" to his requested site. But rather than kuala lumpur kl the necessary files directly from the web server of the aforementioned website, the sent request goes to the satellite service's NOC, network operations center. The NOC is located on earth. It is the NOC that calls the web page. The web server then sends the web page back to the NOC, which in turn sends the web page to a satellite. Then, functioning like a normal television satellite would, the satellite forwards all the requested data to the user's dish. The dish throws the web page to the computer through the installed satellite modem. This entire complex process usually takes about half a second, or even less.

Two-way satellite internet functions through internet protocol multicasting technology, sending data in compressed formats from one point to multiple points at the same time. The compression of data reduces the size of the data and the use of Maxis Broadband Wireless All together, this means such a system can provide five thousand channels of communication, working simultaneously through one single satellite.

The benefits of using the internet through satellite are certainly numerous. Faster speed equals faster connections, faster surfing speeds, faster uploading and download speeds. Also it is far more reliable, and unlike dial-up services, users do not need to worry about starting connections, which are troublesome at times. Of course, dial-up internet ties up the phone line, leading to potential missed calls, which does not occur with satellite service. Furthermore, with internet through satellite service, availability is never a problem as it is extremely accessible. It does not rely on any land lines.

Satellite internet may seem complicated to users of regular cable and DSL services, but don't be fooled. With satellite service, users have a reliable and fast way to connect themselves to the internet and the world.

Would you like to download your favorite movies, music and photos faster? Then you should definitely consider Hughes Net satellite. With HughesNet, you can connect at speeds as much as 50x faster than dial-up. Check out the great Hughes Net internet deals available now!

I'm not sure that is a question that anyone can really answer. Many sites Broadband Deal this usually get a couple of members and then shut the doors so that they have a tight knit community of members.

Lets see, the other option is to get in your car and then stand in line at some retain store while they drain all of the money from your wallet. That is definitely an option that I can do without.

So, how does it work? Basically, you rent modem up for the site of your choosing. Once you are registered, you will have to download their custom software. This software will allow you to search the database of wii games and then download them directly to your hard drive. Once the game is on your hard drive you are provided with step by step directions on how to get the game to a disk which can then be played wherever and whenever you want.

Sure, there are other means of getting free wii games online such as torrents and peer to peer software such as limewire. You do run a high risk of either being infected with a virus or possibly just wasting a lot of your time with files which are not able to be played.

If you've ever eaten a midwinter strawberry, chances are good it was grown in Plant City, Florida, known as the winter strawberry capital of the world. More than three-fourths of the nation's midwinter strawberries are grown here on more than 7,000 acres of rich, fertile farmland.
As with many rural Florida communities, farming was the staple around which Plant City grew, initially as a large cotton center. Its original designation, Ichepucksassa, after an Indian village that once claimed the land, was a troublesome mouthful that didn't last long. The community's Irish postmaster renamed Ichepucksassa after his hometown in Ireland: Cork. But that didn't last long either, in 1884, Henry Plant brought the South Florida Railroad into town; in 1885 the city was incorporated and renamed after him. The historic Union Station depot still stands on Palmer Street today, acting as a downtown area welcome center and mini-railroad museum.

Shopping and Dining

Although Plant City is considered a small town, residents enjoy all the amenities of big city life. Applebees, Carrabbas, Chilis, all the major chains are in town. Shopping centers also dot the city, including the PC Outlet Mall. Nearby Lakeland Square Mall offers just about everything else you could need, including anchors Macy's, Dillard's, Sears and JC Penny's.

But what really makes shopping and dining in Plant City special is the downtown historic district. Park for free in the ample downtown parking, and stroll the brick-paved streets exploring the various antique shops, outdoor wanadoo broadband and ongoing special events. For antiques, visit the Olde Floridian, Pressed Penny or the Frenchman's Market, a unique indoor flea market with more than 20 vendors selling their wares. Rest awhile and refuel at Linda's Crabshack, the Whistlestop Caf or Camelia Rose's Tea Room. Or, try Snellgroves Restaurant, the oldest restaurant in town famous for its handmade, country home-cooking. Another local shopping experience is the Farmer's Market at Alexander and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The market is open seven days a week and offers local produce, plants and crafts.

And be sure not to miss the local key streamyx modem Parkesdale Farm Market, the largest family-run strawberry farm in the nation and home of the Parkesdale's world-famous strawberry shortcake. People come from miles around, driving an hour, two hours or more, and stand in line ten hours a day just to sample the Farm's renowned eight-inch-tall stack brimming with scarlet, golf-ball-sized strawberries.

Leisure and Play

There's always something to do in and around Plant City. Mid-January welcomes the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Arts Festival, complete with parade, midway, concerts, educational tours and more. In late February-early March, the town swells with visitors from all over the world who come for the Florida Strawberry Festival, eleven days' worth of strawberry goodness along with agriculture, livestock and industry exhibits, arts, crafts, parades, entertainment...and more strawberries! In November is the Pig Jam Barbeque Festival, and ongoing through the year is the Strawberry Classic Car Show. Also ongoing, during the first Saturday of every month, is the Plant City Bike Fest in downtown. Each month the city welcomes up to 12,000 motorcycle enthusiasts with a bike show, motorcycle expo and dozens and dozens of food vendors.

Right off exit 17 on I-4 is another local affair, a favorite of area teachers: Dinosaur World, an outdoor museum in a lushly landscaped setting with more than 150 life-sized, scientifically accurate dinosaur models, fossil digs and a Skeleton Garden.

The Plant City Parks and Recreation Department keeps residents of all ages busy with a plethora of events and activities, including youth and adult volleyball, softball, tennis, flag football and kickball, exercise classes and bridge for the seniors, plus teen nights and kid nights and holiday events and more. The city is home to 19 different parks and playgrounds, including the popular Mike Sansone Park on Park Road northeast of town; the 77-acre park includes a skate park, seven lighted youth baseball fields, two softball fields, volleyball courts, picnic pavilions, two playgrounds, a paved wetland trail, and more.
